As more of our IT infrastructure needs to be 5x9's of
reliability we need ways to remove single points of
failure. IBM introduced the connection manager system as a
free add-on to Informix to help reduce or remove downtime
associated with system or engine maintenance.
This talk will go over the basic setup of connection
manager in any sized environment. We will cover all of the
configuration steps to get going and will cover how to
architect it up for a variety of network setups including
those running PAM or SSL.
